Colorado park

Colorado Park is a large natural area on Reunion Island, a French overseas department in the southwest of the Indian Ocean.

It is located at the top of the locality La Montagne, on the municipal territory of St Denis, about 300 meters above sea level.

It is the starting point for many hikes, horseback riding, running races, mountain biking, etc. It is also known for its golf course and high-tech high-pressure weather station.

The Colorado park is notably the place of the annual cross of the colleges of La Montagne and especially of the Colorado trail.

Reunion's downhill mountain biking champion Florent Payet trained there regularly.

En plus de son cadre naturel, le parc abrite également une variété de faune et de flore locales, notamment des oiseaux, des papillons et des plantes indigènes.
