Dimitile, a high place ofhistory of slavery in Réunion

Located in the town ofBetween two in the southwestern part of Reunion Island, it is currently classified as a Sensitive Natural Area, managed by the Capitaine Dimitile association.
In the 18th century, a slave named Dimitile rebelled and found asylum in the region of the island to which he gave his name. He then took the head of a group of resistant slaves, also called maroons. Subsequently, she will decide to return to her master, thus leaving a trace of this narration.
