Reunion Airports

Reunion Island has two Airports, the main Roland-Garros airport north of the capital Saint-Denis, and a secondary Pierre-Fond airport to the south in the town of Saint-Pierre. They can both accommodate the tourists international flights and both handle more than 2.5 million passengers per year.

Reunion Roland-Garros airport, formerly called Gillot, is the main airport on Reunion Island and the only airport in the French overseas departments in the Indian Ocean.
It has a runway capable of accommodating short, medium and long-haul aircraft (Airbus A340, Boeing 747, Boeing 737, Airbus A320, ATR-72, etc.).

Pierrefonds airport in Saint-Pierre, is the smallest and most recent airport on Reunion Island, opened to commercial traffic in 1999.
Located in the town of Saint-Pierre, it has a runway capable of accommodating short and medium-haul aircraft (Boeing 737, Airbus A320, ATR-72, etc.).
